Synopsis

An epic historical drama follows the life of Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in Chinese History. 14-year-old Wu Meiniang enters the Tang Dynasty Palace as one of the consorts. She wins the favor of Li Shimin (Emperor Taizong) with her beautiful dance and honesty, and other consorts get jealous of her. She is banished to the Cold Palace for a year, and even after getting back to her position, the court asks Taizong to kill her, and other consorts betray her trust to win the emperor's favor. She endures attacks towards her, but when Taizong makes a decision that ultimately betrays her, Meiniang is determined to change for her survival in the Palace.
